My review concerns that a huge corporation as DSW do not offer anything for disability people. No electric wheelchair or any wheelchair at all!! That just is not acceptable!!! Not happy

Absolutely 5 stars! I am signed up for dsw VIP rewards and I've received several totally free items! I get a birthday reward , rewards for taking lightly worn shoes in for their charity - soles for souls , they do a reward during several holidays throughout the year , they have a reward for signing up , I got a couple of rewards for online orders that I picked up in store instead of shipping , throughout the virus situation they did free shipping on everything like most all companies did , AND they recently did a buy one get one free bags sale that was amazing , I'm in love with the two bags I got. If you are not signed up for their rewards you are missing out , but the best way to take full advantage is if you catch the holiday rewards and then stack that with other rewards for turning in charity shoes but you have to live in a city with a dsw or visit one near you to donate shoes and you can only donate one pair a day.

Comprehensive Review of DSW

Been using DSW for over a year now and ordered women's shoes and handbags through the iOS app. All experiences based on that.Pros: Wide selection of designer + affordable brandsPoints earned for every purchase that can be used towards future purchases Frequent sales and free gifts with a minimum purchaseGreat VIP perksCan stack discount codes + points in same orderNice user interface, easy to navigate/searchCons:First, DSW states that unless you're a VIP gold or elite member, you gotta fork over $8.95 for returning or exchanging items by mail. As a pleb I just returned my items in store. (Now I'm an elite member, so I can return items for free - more on that later). That being said, DSW's delivery program needs a bit of work.Some problems I've had with shipping:1) I've received the wrong shoes in my order once. Rather than go through the hassle of explaining this to customer service on the phone or email, I just brought it in store and explained what happened. Got my money back for the amount I was charged, and placed a new order for the shoes I wanted.2) I've received a beat up box shoved into a mailbox. Fortunately the shoes themselves were undamaged, but this is the fault of FedEx, not DSW. Since the shoes were fine, no complaints from me. 3) I have returned items and not received my money in return. I called customer service and after a long wait time and 20 minutes of explanation, I got my money back.4) I've had shoes lost in transit that the app showed as "delivered" but were not. Four times. The first time, I emailed DSW and they offered to ship it again at no cost or refund, so I asked to reship. That one was also lost in transit. This is when I found out that DSW will reship or refund only once - after that, you'll have to take it up with your bank. I had to submit a dispute claim to my bank online, and I guesstimated the amount I paid (the app doesn't show the breakdown in price, only the total for the whole order, and since I had applied deals/points, I wasn't totally sure). The bank issued me credit based on my claim and DSW didn't dispute that, so I got my money back. But the next time it happened with another item I ordered, I just asked for a refund rather than risk another reship that went wrong.Now, onto returns & exchanges..As an elite member, I get free shipping on returns/exchanges. DSW includes a shipping label from FedEx and your order summary in your package when it arrives (regardless of your member status). Theory goes that if you don't want your item, you pop it back in the box/sleeve, fill out the form, affix the label, and either have FedEx come to your door to pick it up or drop it off at a FedEx location. I was psyched that I could get FedEx to pick it up, but alas, here is where my problems began.1) Half the time, DSW does not include a shipping label or order summary in the box. More often it's the shipping label that isn't included. It's like roulette to see when you'll actually get both. I had an item I wanted to return that was missing both. I emailed DSW and asked if they could 1) send me a shipping label and 2) an order summary form. They did, but the tracking number was invalid when I entered it on the FedEx ground returns pickup page. So I requested another number.2) DSW complied, but after 10 rounds of emails, every number they've sent is invalid on the FedEx site. One agent finally sent me a link that indicated the tracking number was live in FedEx's system, but for some reason I couldn't schedule a pickup with the number. I finally found a loophole by reusing a valid number from an old label to schedule a pickup, but put a new label with an "invalid" number on the box. FedEx still picked it up so it worked!Overall, I still recommend DSW. You just have to accept some hiccups and read the rules. I've returned more than I've kept (I'm picky) but also gotten GREAT deals. And which other store will give you points and freebies for buying discounted shoes?

I had recently placed an order with DSW…

I had recently placed an order with DSW maybe three days earlier and received the order today. Right after I placed the order, I decided to check the company ratings. I was shocked to see that the rating was very low. I'm not sure if the dissatisfied customers are ordering from different locations than me but I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The shoes are new, showing no signs of previous wear or tear and also they fit perfectly if you follow their sizing guides. They're pretty comfy and don't seem like they're going to rip apart after a few weeks. To anyone ordering from Toronto, I would say it's a good way to save some money on shoes.

I have been a customer with DSW for over 16 years and I am telling you that their customer service recently is not a reflection of them whatsoever!! They are amazing at shipping your items to you in an extremely timely manner. Also, their customer service is awesome!! They've always handled every issue that I've ever brought to them (I haven't had many). I can assure everyone that their customer service and shipping issues are definitely due to this Pandemic.

BLAZING FAST SHIPPING- even during Covid

I read all the horrendous reviews on here and debated buying the item i wanted. Despite the drastic discount. Anyway, i took a gamble, ordered a pair of shoes on May 1st, they took my money right away, shipped them out May 1st and i received them May 5th yesterday. This process was honestly beautiful. If the other reviews are true, I'm really sorry you guys went through that.

Surprised at the negative reviews, their customer service is pretty great!

I'm legitimately surprised at all the negative reviews here. I recently ordered a new pair of shoes in anticipation of returning to work in the next month or so. I'm on my feet all day at work so comfortable shoes are a must. My previous pair had fallen victim to my cat, whom has decided that he doesn't like that I've been at home for 2 months and has retaliated in pee-form. I was pretty upset when I finally got my tracking number for my shoes and saw that they were being shipped to my old apartment. I wasn't even sure why that address was still in my "address book" in the app; I remember deleting it, and I've ordered things online multiple times from DSW and had them shipped to my new apartment without issue since I've moved. Not sure how it happened. I tried requesting FedEx to hold the package but they refused, at first stating that the package was going to be transferred to USPS for final delivery and they couldn't make any changes due to that, and then they changed their tune to say that they will actually be delivering the package (not USPS), but that they can't hold or change the delivery address because the shipper (DSW) has to be the one to make the change. Once I saw the shoes had been delivered, I went to my old apartment building and asked the leasing office/management if they had gotten my package, but they hadn't seen it. So I contacted DSW via email and eventually got a response saying that they were re-shipping my shoes to my correct address, free of charge! Shipping only took about a day, too! So while it may or may not have been my fault (I swear I remember deleting my old address), they fixed my issue quickly and reminded me why I love shopping at DSW.

Great Service

We ordered a pair of shoes from DSW. The shoes were Clarks Raisie Arlie Loafers. The shoes were of good quality. Nice rubber heals and bottom. But the size was wrong. We contacted DSW and they were very nice. The responded quickly by email (no phone service now). They even paid for my return label. Then they refunded my money in full. SHOES ARE A GIRLS SECOND BEST FRIEND!!!

I have been purchasing from DSW for many years. They are my Go-To Place when special occasions arise or when I just want to have a true shoe shoppers Fantasy(so many shoes!!!) The quality has always been exceptional. I am most impressed by 2 things, being a 50+ professional, it's important to look good and be comfortable. The first thing that impresses me is THE REWARDS PROGRAM. There have been times when the rewards earned were so great I bought more than 1 pair of shoes

Great customer service!

I needed to return a defective pair of boots and no longer had my invoice. They replied promptly to my email, as well as to my second, clarifying email when they didn't exactly understand what I needed. They sent me a copy of my original confirmation email and told me to take it to any store, and that it would be acceptable to effect a return. All my emails were responded to within minutes. They were great.

I have never had a bad experience

I have never had a bad experience with DSW. I like how they send out coupons for free items with purchase and how I can use multiple coupons in one transaction, rather then one. Their coupon amounts are fairly good and they have a wide selection of different shoes and accessories. I do think that some of their shoes are a bit over priced, but on the whole I would recommend shopping there.

I have always had a pleasant experience with DSW both online and in person at multiple locations. The selection cannot be beat and online ordering is easy and convenient.
