The review is for the Customer Service I have received from Team Thursday (Sydney). It has been nothing but outstanding. Prompt, attentive, support pre and post purchase. Yes, there was an issue with the eyelet breaking (1 year later) but I am 100% satisfied with the outcome. Being from the UK the sizing was difficult to get right resulting in an return/exchange, yes, they were tight and resulted in a blister, but they did work in wonderfully and are my go to boots.

I own 2 pairs of Thursdays. I have the Captains and the Chelsea in honey Suede. After about a year, I can say that these 2 are a great pair of quality boots. The chromexcel leather on the captains do scratch a little easy, but its not cheap leather nor is it going to wear out in a couple of months. I don't do anything for shoecare, but I did get Saphir Renovateur cream after owning the captains for its 1 year anniversary and it got a good beating. After a year, the original colors do unavoidably fade, and applying the Saphir cream did a great job restoring the boot's original colors and making them look relatively new.The comfort on the Thursdays are great, especially the chelseas. The chelsea suedes are the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own (second only to the Adidas Ultraboosts). I do own other leather shoes/sneakers from other companies, but the chelseas from Thursdays are definitely the best in terms of comfort. The suede quality is nice and soft. Its also an added bonus that they are water resistant. I did get my chelseas caught in rain/got water spilt on them numerous times and they keep surprising me on how much water the boots can get off of them and remain clean. After a while I did notice some of the suede coming off the chelseas though, to reveal whats underneath the suede. Nothing major, but its somewhat noticeable (its black underneath the suede). The captains are comfy as well, however, I did wear it onto a trip where I was constantly wearing them. I got blisters after the 2nd day (I was constantly walking in them) and couldn't wear them anymore without hurting my feet. For everyday usage I did not have any problems with them (working in the office, on a night out).Overall for 200$ these are priced very well in my opinion and I do expect both my pairs to last even more years!

This was my first serious boot buy. A-/B+The build on the boots (President, plain toe brown) is superb. I've put in 5 months of hard city walking and although I've worn down heel taps, and nicked a toe, they look mostly unchanged. Leather lustrous with little maintenance. They are well-designed, gorgeous, and rugged.Size: I wear a 10 in everything. I took the advice to buy half a size down and it really cramped my toes. I wear thinner socks, the leather does stretch, I used a mechanical stretcher for a night, etc. It's getting better. But the last of the boot narrows over the ball of the foot. My toes stretch out. That's not Thursday Boot's fault. But ow.Heel: that part of the sizing seems to have worked. In part because of the short-sizing, and the very nice leather lining, this is about the snuggest fit I've ever had. (I have broad toes, high instep, narrow heels. Just not the usual.)So fit is idiosyncratic. My general rating...Craftsmanship. High. Real quality and heft in all components, durability, and attention to detail. These are solid boots.Grippiness. The rubber soles have so far been very stable.Value. For $200, a great value and a good teacher.
