I ordered a bedspread online. 6 days later the status is "still preparing for shipment". I just sent a plea to the text phone number. I did get a response within a couple of hours. They said my item was ready to be put on a truck for delivery. So they are still in the shipping window of 5-7 business days.I don't want to rate them too badly as I should have noticed the delivery expectation policy when I ordered. It just in this day and age, it caught me by surprise.

I have shopped in store before but had never purchased furniture or online with C&B before. I bought a desk to set up a home office, I was able to set a delivery date which suited me. The desk turned up on time, fully built and the delivery guys were great - they put it right where I wanted it!The desk itself is great quality, solidly built and looks great. No complaints - I would definitly buy from them again.

No customer service. May 23, I ordered a coffee grinder. June 8, I requested cancellation-- the order wasn't due to ship until later in June. I received an automatic reply they had received my email, then nothing. June 9, I received an email the shipment would be additionally delayed. I tried to call them-- hours on hold on the speaker phone, never connected. I waited patiently for a reply for the first cancellation request made through their website-- it never came. Then June 24, I get an email "my order has shipped." They ignore my requests-- I will ignore this store and never shop there again.Update: After this, a customer service representative emailed a very kind letter apologizing, explaining their situation and credited the entire order, no return required. They were very gracious about it.

I ordered a table, a bed, and some chairs. The service was impeccable. The men came in and wore a mask the entire time. My furniture was efficiently delivered and expertly assembled in a very short amount of time.

I spent over $5000 in furniture.I walked away from the San Jose store after waiting for 80 minutes because I couldn't get any associate to help me. I ended up ordering my furniture on-line.I was walking away from the Palo Alto store after waiting an hour because I couldn't get any associate to help me, not until a VERY NICE and HELPFUL associate stopped me and helped me. I added more furniture to my purchased.My furniture was delivered on a drizzling rainy day. The two man were very unprofessional. They didn't cover their walk path so my carpet ended up with water/mud stained. They did not covered their shoes with protective booties. They did not covered my furniture from the rain nor care to dry it. They literally dumped my furniture wet. They dumped my ottoman in the middle of my living room and asked me to picked it up.... ... etc. etc. etc.Yes their furniture is pricey, but they are beautiful designed. I loved shopping at Crater & Barrel. I am really disappointed with their choice for their Delivery service company.I could have giving them 5 stars for Furniture Design. I give them 3 stars for their Service.I could have giving them 0 star for their Delivery Service.

I like the furniture at Crate & Barrel. I'm not thrilled with the prices, though. It seems that everything here is a bit overpriced. Still, it is a fun place to shop and the salespeople at my local store are all friendly and helpful. Maybe it's the perfect place to pick out those special, one-of-a-kind items. Buy your more common household goods at a less expensive retailer.
